Overview

CaricatureMe ("we", "our", "the app") is a photo caricature app developed by PINOVA, LLC. We take your privacy seriously and collect only the minimum data needed to provide the service.

Data We Collect

• Account information— When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (or an Apple relay email) to create your account.
• Photos— Photos you submit are sent to our servers for AI caricature generation. We do not store your photos after processing is complete.
• Usage data— We track basic usage such as generation counts to enforce daily limits and credit balances.

Face and Photo Data

CaricatureMe processes photos you provide to generate caricature artwork. Here is how we handle your face and photo data:

• Purpose— Photos are used solely for caricature generation. We do not perform facial recognition, face detection, or any biometric analysis. Photos are not used for authentication or identification purposes.
• Processing— Your photos are sent as whole images to OpenAI's gpt-image-1 API for caricature generation. No facial feature data, face maps, or biometric templates are extracted at any point.
• No storage— Photos are processed in memory and discarded immediately after the caricature is generated. We do not store, cache, or retain your original photos on our servers.
• No biometric collection— We do not collect, store, or share any biometric identifiers or biometric information as defined under applicable privacy laws.
• Third-party processing— OpenAI processes photos under their API data usage policy. API inputs and outputs are not used to train OpenAI models. No face or photo data is shared with any other third party.
• On-device results— Generated caricatures are returned directly to your device and are not retained on our servers.

How We Use Your Data

• To generate caricatures from your photos
• To manage your account and credit balance
• To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse

Data Storage & Security

Your account data is stored securely on our servers. Photos submitted for caricature generation are processed in real time and are not retained after the caricature is delivered to your device. Generated caricatures are saved only on your device when you choose to save them.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to provide core functionality:

• Apple Sign In— for authentication
• OpenAI— to generate caricatures from your photos using their image generation API. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat— for in-app purchase and subscription management

These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. Caricatures saved to your device are under your control and are not stored on our servers.

Children's Privacy

CaricatureMe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
